Livingroom Re-Do for Spring and Summer

Yesterday, with the help of my very helpful hubby, I rearranged and re-styled our livingroom for spring and summer.  Even though the temperatures were not exactly spring-like, I decided I just couldn't wait for next weekend to brighten things up.  First thing, we changed out our drapes from the eggplant fall/winter ones to the cool natural colored drapes I made from painter's drop cloths.  The red throws have been replaced by natural and off white ones and I changed out all the pillow covers to the natural and black ones I made last year.  I did leave some touches of red in the room for intrest.  Then we decided to get really adventurous and "flip" the room.  We moved the couch from the west wall to the east wall and moved the loveseat from the east wall to the west wall.  After some switching of occasional tables and the sofa table, we found an arrangement that we really liked.

East side of the livingroom.  I think the doggies like it too.

West side of the livingroom.  Notice how we put the love seat and an angle.  The chair that goes with the couch and love seat is now at the north end of the living room....no pics of that end yet.

How about this cool artwork?  I bought a piece of canvas material at JoAnn's and drew this chair on it with a Sharpie.  I copied the chair from a pic I found online.  My helpful hubby made the wooden stretcher frame to put it on out of scraps.

I took down the collage that usually hangs over the couch when it's on the west side of the livingroom and replaced it with this chair art and the wall hanging I made below.

I made this using silver frames from the dollar store.  I designed the letters on my computer to fit the openings and printed them.  Using a "D" ring, 1 1/2 inch black grosgrain ribbon and hot glue I now have a cute wall hanging.

I will take pictures of the north end of the livingroom and try to post them tomorrow.  Unfortunately, our livingroom is so long, I can't get it all in one picture.
