Christmas in August

Just because it's at least a billion degrees outside doesn't mean it's too hot to work on Christmas crafts.  I had a cute set of lacing cards from Cosmo Cricket (http://www.cosmocricket.com/) but I didn't particularly care for the way they were designed to be used.  Plus the back of each card was bare naked!  The colors of the kit however, were great for a Christmas project.  So here's what I did....

The Front
The chipboard letters for DREAMS came with the kit as did the frames for pictures.  I already had a K and Company Brenda Walton Christmas Chipbox from last year and the colors were a good fit.  I also have a ton of vintage Christmas images on my computer, so I used a few of those as well.  I added some gems and glitter, used my own ribbon and other Christmas elements I had on hand, and there you are!

The Back
As I mentioned earlier, the back of the lacing cards were simply plain chipboard.  I used paper from Basic Grey's Figgy Pudding and Fruitcake collections to cover the bare backs and finished them up with elements I had on hand.

This was fun and easy to make and will look perfect on a shelf at Christmas!

Hope you enjoy!
